About Us
PJFC is a well established and progressive junior football club located in the village of Poppleton to the West of York. We are proud to be working with the Football Association to promote Football in the Community.
We are an FA Charter Standard Community Club – one of only two in York, with Girl’s teams from under 10’s to under 16’s who compete in the City of York Girls Football League, a Ladies open age team – who play in the North Riding Womens Premier League and Boys teams from under 7’s to under 19’s – who compete in various York leagues.
Poppleton have relationships with various primary and secondary schools to promote football in the Community within the local area. We are supported by the Poppleton Community Trust, a charity based in Poppleton village. The Trust also incorporates the Poppleton Community Centre, Veterans Football, Bowls, Tennis and many other activities.
PJFC have over 11 acres of Training facilities and pitches at our Millfield Lane ground, with a large car park, all maintained to a very high standard by our multi award winning groundsman Jim Ferguson with exclusive use by Poppleton Junior Football Club.
We provide a quality and safe place for children to play football and fully support the FA's Respect Campaign. We provide FA Qualified Managers and Coaches, all Coaches and Managers are CRB checked by the FA and we have a dedicated Child Welfare Officer.
Please note dogs are not allowed on the ground unless an assistance dog.
